Mayfield Community Safety Partnership

The second meeting of the MCSP took place at Farnborough Town Football Club and residents who attended had a presentation from Rushmoor’s Crime Prevention Team on the development of Neighbourhood Watch Schemes within Mayfield.  The aim is to get 250 households involved, so if you want to get involved, please lets Cllr Craig Card know.  The next meeting of the MCSP is 13th May at Farnborough Town Football Club starting at 6.45pm. 

Farnborough Town Football Club Music Event

Councillors Craig Card, Neville Dewey and Charlie Fraser-Fleming were informed recently that the Council had been approached by Farnborough Town Football Club with a proposals for a large-scale outdoor music Festival to be held at the ground between 30th April and 3rd May to be called Rushfest.  

An application for a premises licence for the event has been received a copy of the application is available for viewing at the Council Offices. The application is yet to be validated, responsible authorities and interested parties will now have until the 28th March to make any representation(s) about the proposals to the licensing authority. The application must be advertised by way of site notice(s) and by way of a public notice in a local newspaper within a prescribed period.  

The event proposes to run from Friday 30th April Saturday, Sunday from  6pm to 11pm and Monday 3rd May from 4pm to 8pm.

Councillor Neville Dewey update

Neville Dewey is still currently in hospital recovering from his recent accident. He is feeling more cheerful and hopes to allowed out of hospital by the end of the year. He will then have some months of rehabillating from his leg injury. He is receiving his local council briefings and is keeping up to date with local issues.

The young people in Totland and from the games zone have spent several months designing and painting murals at Totland close.

MUGA Pitch Update

The new games area in Water Lane has now been built and is being well used.

This has been a long term project which will complete the area’s other play facilities. I hope the young people enjoy this new facility over the years to come.
